To demystify the Tinkhundla system and expose it as a deliberate political architecture designed to exclude the people from power, suppress organised political alternatives, and entrench authoritarian rule under the guise of culture and stability. This module equips cadres to challenge propaganda, educate communities, and confidently articulate why Tinkhundla is incompatible with democracy.
Module 2
Monarchy and Political Power
To enable members to critically understand the political role of the monarchy in Swaziland, how power is accumulated, exercised, and protected, and why absolute authority is incompatible with democratic governance. This module confronts fear, mystification, and political silence surrounding the monarchy and replaces them with clear political analysis.
Module 3
History of Repression and Resistance
To equip members with a clear historical understanding of repression and resistance in Swaziland, showing that repression is not accidental or episodic, but a systematic response to popular organisation, and that resistance is a legitimate, recurring expression of people's political will. This module removes fear by replacing silence with historical clarity.
Module 4
Democratic Alternatives & Transition Pathways
To equip members with a clear, confident understanding of the democratic alternative SWALIMO is fighting for, and the realistic pathways of transition from authoritarian rule to a democratic, accountable, and inclusive political order. This module ensures cadres can answer the critical question often posed by the people: "If not this system, then what?"
Module 5
Role of the Masses, Youth, Women & Diaspora
To ground members in the understanding that liberation is neither elite-driven nor leader-centred, but a collective process powered by the masses, with distinct and indispensable roles played by youth, women, and the diaspora. This module dismantles spectator politics and builds participatory revolutionary responsibility.
